How to Find the Motivation for Life Transformation and True Happiness

Making the changes and taking the path to change your life and seeking personal development is rewarding and life changing, but it isn’t always easy. In fact, it can be confusing, scary and hard. Throughout your journey, you might constantly question if you are taking the right path, if you are following the correct advice and if it is all worth it. When you start to doubt yourself and your journey, the driving factor that keeps you going is motivation. Motivation gives you the desire to continue along your path of transformation. It’s what gets you out of bed, prepares you to focus on your transformation and removes any excuses. You have the power to influence your own levels of motivation. Here are three steps to finding the motivation for life transformation and true happiness.

It’s easy to say that you want to transform your life for the better, but it can be a little bit harder to say exactly why you want to do that. Finding motivation will be much easier when you are fully aware of your intentions and your reasoning behind the transformation.

Ask yourself these questions

– How do I currently view myself, and how do I want to view myself?

– What are my strengths and weaknesses?

– What is my motivation? Do I think these changes will bring love? Do I think they will make me happier? Do I think they will make the people around me happier?

– What am I currently doing in my life that is hurting me or holding me back?

– Am I ready to take big risks or make big changes for the benefit of my transformation?

One of the keys to finding the motivation to transform your life is to dig down and find your true intentions for the change. Remind yourself what you need, not what everyone else needs, to feel happy and fulfilled.

2. Determine What Is in Your Way

When it comes to making changes in your life, it’s easy to point out any number of obstacles that are preventing you from your transformation. The obstacles are usually not insurmountable, but they can be big enough to throw you off of your path to transformation if you allow them to impede your progress.

Consider these impediments to change

– Your own fears of change, uncertainty, failure, and inadequacy.

– A full schedule and feeling like you don’t have enough time.

– Being overwhelmed with how to begin and what to do.

– Wanting everything to be done perfectly.

– Waiting and waiting for the right time to start your journey.

These fears and obstacles are real, but they are not a good enough reason to remain inactive. It all comes down to making the decision to prioritize your transformation and utilizing your motivation to get you past any number of obstacles you will encounter at the start of and throughout your journey.

3. Take Action to Find Motivation

Motivation won’t magically come to you while you sit and do nothing. You must be proactive in finding motivation for your transformation.

Choose a Direction

Decide what type of direction you want to go in your life. If you are at this point, you probably don’t want to remain in the same place mentally or spiritually. The decision is, then, do you want to make immediate and drastic changes, or take a slower path to change? Neither choice is wrong, they just determine the amount of time and effort you put into your transformation.

Have a Goal

Choose one goal upon which to focus. This helps avoid the obstacle of feeling overwhelmed, and it prevents your from draining your energy and motivation.

Get Inspired

Allow yourself to be inspired by others. Your transformation is your own, but it’s likely that other people have gone through a similar journey to yours. Look to their successes as motivation for your own.

Find Support

Get support. Work with an accountability partner, talk to a life coach, or find an online community with whom to interact. Use these connections to help get you through the times you are lacking motivation.

Start Small

Start with one small, positive step. Ask yourself what small action step you can take today to move forward with your transformation. After that, take another small step. An object in motion stays in motion, and once you get started, it’s much easier to keep going.

Make Changes

Determine when you will make changes in your life, and make space for those changes. Set aside time once a day to work on your goals for your transformation. Prioritize your goals and make the change happen.

Pick a Mantra

Make your goal visible. Pick a mantra that’s a few words long to describe your goal, and post it somewhere you will see it every day. Keep your goal at the forefront of your mind to keep your excitement and motivation going.

When you are ready to transform your life, you will need to plenty of motivation to do so. Get a clear picture of what changes you want to make and why, and set yourself up for success by making your goals a priority.
